The nomination was confirmed at the Paralympic Committee of India office in New Delhi in the presence of PCI CEO Mr. Rahul Swami and Chairman Para Athletics Mr. Satyanarayana. Dr. Sreedhar will lead the state's para sport programme for the 2026–27 season and beyond.

Dr. Eluri Sreedhar has been officially nominated as the Chairman of PCI Gujarat, the Gujarat Chapter of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI). The nomination was confirmed at the PCI office in New Delhi in the presence of key leadership, including PCI Chief Executive Officer Mr. Rahul Swami and Mr. Satyanarayana, Chairman of Para Athletics and chief coach of the Indian para athletics team.
His role centres on expanding outreach, reinforcing sports infrastructure and empowering para athletes across Gujarat.
As Chairman, Dr. Sreedhar will lead the Chapter's executive committee and its six working cells: athlete services and registration, classification, competitions and technical, coaching and development, partnerships and CSR, and communications and IT. His first priorities are the appointment of office bearers and district coordinators across all 33 districts, the 2026–27 state championship calendar, and district classification camps so that first-time athletes can be assessed close to home.
Dr. Sreedhar said the Chapter would be judged on one thing: whether it makes the path from a first classification to the national team shorter, fairer and better supported for every para athlete in Gujarat.
Athletes, coaches, institutions and partners who wish to work with the Chapter can write to support@pcigujarat.com. Official correspondence with the Chairman's office is routed through the secretariat at secretary@pcigujarat.com.
